Aftercare

People can react differently to treatment, some more than others.
The next few days post treatment your muscles may feel tender or sore.
No need to worry it’s just that ‘worked on feeling’ which is completely normal.
Just like a workout, but in this case the muscles have been worked on.
This will subside after the first 2-3 days post massage.
Once the body gets used to regular treatments this will become less likely to
occur.

After a massage treatment you may feel the following:

  • Tired/fatigued
  • Increased thirst
  • Stuffy or blocked nose ( cause by laying face down which can temporary block the sinuses)
  • Heightened emotions high/low
  • Dizzy
  • Increase urge to urinate
  • You may experience a headache (This is due to the increased circulation and is only temporary)
  • Increased energy levels

 Do’s and Don’ts

  • Drink plenty of water over the next 24 hours. ( Massage can have a dehydrating effect. This will assist flushing toxins out that are released from your body.)
  • Avoid stimulants such as tea, coffee, fizzy drinks and alcohol after treatment
  • Rest if feeling tired
  • Avoid strenuous activity/ exercise for 24 hours
  • Avoid eating a heavy meal after treatment
